GOOD GUT BACTERIA

You may be one of those lovely humans who try their best to eat, train and sleep well – but what if we told you that was all in vain? What if all the salads, poached eggs, avo and meat-free Mondays were not actually helping because your body can’t absorb the nutrients you are feeding it?

Your gut microbiome needs to be well balanced and functioning optimally in order for your body to correctly use the food you are feeding it. Bacteria are responsible for processing the food that enters your body and extracting the nutrition so that your body can actually use that food. In short, GOOD bacteria give nutrition to the body and assist your body with creating its own vitamins and natural antibiotics! But it needs a good microbiome and the correct food to do so

Probiotics are the tiny microorganisms which deliver health benefits to their host (our bodies). Our bodies thus, rely on all sorts of microorganisms to keep things working properly and to keep us healthy; this is where probiotics play their part… They are the good bacteria that you really NEED in your system to support healthy body operations from your mouth to your gut and they can control harmful microorganisms like germs. Taken properly, probiotics aid digestion and improve nutrient absorption, which is what we all need!

Probiotics can help with digestive issues such as colic, constipation, Crohn’s Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, lactose intolerance and ulcerative colitis

People with different issues have different eco-systems in their guts and this is why probiotics are needed! For example, people with constipation have different ecosystems of microorganisms in their intestines than people who don’t suffer from constipation. Probiotics also help to lower pH levels in the colon which may help the elimination process to flow smoothly; they may be especially useful in relieving diarrhoea.  Probiotics also help your body to absorb protein from your diet which is essential for your muscles, brain and healthy overall functioning

Besides absorbing protein from the food you eat,  Probiotics will help to improve the immune system too!

Up to 80% of the body’s immunity lies in the gut, which is where probiotics can work to fight infection and prevent the build-up of disease-causing bacteria!
